Mid-terms for Google Summer of Code 2008 are upon us. We have 19 students and over 40 mentors working tirelessly to bring you fantastic code ranging from new design tools, to fantastic new APIs, to improvements to existing modules such as Views and NodeQueue. Read on to meet the students behind SoC, and actually test out preliminary alpha versions of their projects yourselves! Make sure to log feedback to the projects' issue queues. :)

Hallo from Germany,

take a look at the new Info-Center of the English Bulldogs in Germany! It is built with Xoops CMS with many different modules!

At the moment I "fight" with the Sitemap - and keep updating the Website with recent news! Also I will take the module MyQuiz - and Umfrage!!

But i need a little bit time - to understand how i must do this!! I work with XOOPS since February 2008 - I??ll never before have worked with HTML or such thinks! A good friend helps me by the first steps - and since the 2nd March the BulldogNews is online!!!

Xoops is soooo nice - but i must learn more!!!

At the moment i tried my second hompage - about my private dogs - you can have a look here: English Bulls!!!

Have you some comments for me???

Instant Zero is very happy to present you a new version of the Xoops News module.
This new version, 1.6, introduces some bugs corrections and introduces a long awaited feature, the possibility to display html in its blocks.

How to upgrade ?
Be sure to update the files on your server with the new one and update the module in the Xoops modules manager.

Translations
There was no changes in the translations

Changelog
- It was possible to give any ranking to an article
- After you have vote for an article, you are redirected to the article (and not to the module's index page)
- TCPDF was updated to its version 4.0.001
- The RSS feed per subject now runs with cache (correctly)
- I have corrected a bug in the "Archives" block (the block was displaying _NW_NEWSARCHIVES)
- In the moderation block you now have a link to edit the story
- I have corrected a bug in news_item.html
- In the article page, the script should use less resources to create the link to the previous and next article
- Now you can display html in the blocks

With this Xoops module, your can create blocks with several tabs an blocks inside.

The module can :
. Create any blocks you want (just clone the original)
. Create any pages (holders for tabs) you want so you can choose in the block what page to show
. Create any tabs you want per page
. Create any blocks you want per tabs
. Set group view permissons per block/page, tab and block
. Set time based tabs and blocks (auto-expiring)
. Set blocks side: left, center or right.
. Choose from 5 diferent page/block layouts
. Use how many blocks you want in the same page or not (just clone and set them)
